End of a Chapter

Today I did something that I thought wouldn’t happen for at least another 20 years, but I walked out of Longmont United Hospital for the last time. After more than 11.5 years of it being my home today was my last shift. I’m looking forward to my next steps and new job at new hospitals that will all start in the next couple of weeks but it is hard to say goodbye to so many wonderful people and to close this chapter. I have spent countless hours with some of the most amazing nurses, techs, psych triage workers, RTs, radiology techs, pharmacists, doctors and PAs. I have shared a number of tears and plenty of laughs through the year. Change is never easy and I tend to resist it more than others, but change can also bring growth and I’m looking forward to what this will do and bring.
