A couple of weeks ago the boys had their Colorado State gymnastics meet. Our gym hosted it which was a lot of fun. It was at the fairgrounds. Both bows have grown and developed quite a bit this year. Leighton’s meet was on Saturday and for the first time he attempted and almost landed a double flip off the high bar. He kind of landed on his knees but I was super excited for him to reach out and try a new skill because he sometimes gets too nervous to try it. Paxton’s meet was Sunday afternoon and he did well. It is his first year as a level 4 and he’s had to learn new routines and gain new skills. He’s still an 8 year old boy who gets easily distracted, sometimes even in the middle of his routine but he has grown and gotten better. It was fun to celebrate and cheer them on.
