The kids had a few chances to dress up for Halloween this year. The first was at Apex, and all dressed up except for Leighton who told me when he got home that “only the 8th grade girls dressed up, not the 8th grade boys….” Then for the kid’s night at church they had to dress up like something from the Bible, so Paxton was the stone that rolled away from Jesus’ tomb (and I think he left pieces of moss all over the church), Coppelia was a rainbow, Edric was the 10 commandments, Caedmon was Noah and Leighton was an animal search for the Ark. The for actual Halloween Coppelia, myself and Ember were all unicorns….although I think Ember was the least excited. Caedmon and Paxton had capes on for awhile as well, but I don’t think they actually kept those on for trick or treating. We were the first house and hosted the sending off pizza party and then the kids all took off. Leighton had a few friends come over and at the end of the night told me that it was his favorite halloween ever because of that. We had a great time and the weather was the warmest it has been for Halloween in years which was a nice change as well.
