We started day 2 in Glacier early and were very excited to hike. Luckily thanks to Alltrails app I had read before we left that there was a lot of water crossing on the trail and so a quick amazon order got us some rubber shoe protectors which worked really well. They were fairly well shredded by the end of our hike, but they kept our feet a whole lot drier then they would’ve been. We also knew starting the hike that the trail was closed before the glacier because of all the snow fall that they have received so we knew we weren’t going to be able to see the glacier but knew the hike was going to be breathtaking nonetheless. We were not disappointed either. We hiked along Swiftcurrent Lake, Lake Josephine and then up over Grinnell Lake. And they were amazing and the colors were so vivid. And the waterfalls were amazing, I don’t know how many we crossed along the trail but each one was unique and beautiful. The weather was perfect as well, we started out with pretty cool weather but the sun slowly warmed up. By the end of the hike after lunch there was a storm moving in and we had a few raindrops but we couldn’t have asked for better weather. After getting back in our car we encountered two more grizzlies on the road as we were headed out.
