A Virtual Ballet…

So this past weekend Caedmon’s ballet streamed online, and as his director kept saying, “the show must go on…line”. He was super excited to have my parents over to watch the stream and we got all set up in our theater room. We grabbed a photo of the star of the show along with my mom who made and altered a number of the costumes and myself as I worked as the backstage mom and made the masks for all the dancers. During the bit that we were waiting for the streaming to start the kids all danced for us. The show was really good, and Caedmon was an excellent bunny. Clint’s parents, as well as two of my brothers and a number of friends all tuned in at various show times to watch the show as well which was neat . On Sunday afternoon all the dancers were invited to do a virtual backstage meet up which Caedmon also really enjoyed. There were lots of laughs so I think that went over well. Before each of the live streaming shows the director and a few of the dancers did a panel discussion. Caedmon got to do the panel discussion before the show on Sunday afternoon and had a lot of fun with that. After the panel discussion we got to see behind the scenes as the stream went live. I think if given the opportunity Caedmon would have stood there and watched the entire show again. It went really well and we are already getting ready to gear up for Nutcracker.
