Yes, it’s that time again. It happens about every 2 years and I love it all. I am often found standing in odd poses in the kitchen while I make dinner. The TV is on more in the evenings in our house then it is any other time of the year.
It’s Olympic time.
I’m a huge fan. I don’t know what it is, but I love them. I love all the stories behind the athletes and I love watching them compete. I love dreaming and pretending that I was there (hence the posing like a figure skater or ski jumper in the middle of the kitchen).
I like that for once we can all put aside our differences and just come together as a human race and celebrate the achievements of each other and as a collective race.
And so over the next few weeks most evenings after the boys go to bed Clint and I will be camped out on the couch watching the different events and celebrating. I’ll force him to sit through all the figure skating (which I love and he hates) but we’ll watch the skiing and sledding, and everything else in-between.
So enjoy these next couple of weeks and take time to stop and watch and celebrate and cheer.
