Coppelia’s Heritage Girls group had a mother/daughter day at one of the local gardens a couple of weekends ago and we had a fun morning exploring together. They had a butterfly house as well and so we started out in there and got to see a number of different butterflies. After that we explored the rest of the gardens. It is still early in the year and we have had a late spring so not a whole lot was blooming except for the tulips, but we still really enjoyed walking the gardens. She had fun running along with other girls from her troop, but then also exploring the different paths and racing me along different sets of paths. She found a large clump of creeping phlox and because they were purple declared them as her favorite flowers. We ate lunch with her troop and then took one more tour through the butterfly house. It was a great day and a lot of fun to spend some special girl time together!
