So About That Snow…

So I may have complained that we weren’t getting enough snow a little too early. February went from having temps in the 60s to suddenly becoming the snowiest February we’ve ever had, and the beginning of March hasn’t slowed the snow down at all. And that daffodil that I had taken a photo of popping up through the ground….well I can’t find it now buried under all the snow that we have.

It’s ok though…like I said, I’d rather have it now and have a lot of it so that my spring is actually a spring and not the long lost winter. So bring on the snow and I’ll bundle up.

I am going to use this time though to start thinking about what I’m going to plant….St Patty’s Day is just around the corner and according to my great-grandma one needs to start their seeds indoors by March 17th, so I’ve got two weeks to figure out what I’m going to plant this year. I know lots of tomatoes and peppers and I think I will try some tomatillos this year as well because I’m slightly addicted to green salsa. Actually addicted to all sorts of salsa but green salsa ranks way high in my book.

I can’t promise that I will write a weekly update like I attempted to do last year about my gardening and progress, but I will try and keep semi regular posts going and tricks and tips along the way.

Looking forward to digging in some dirt and watching things grow!
