Coppelia is 8!

Coppelia turned 8 on August 21st and she has only being talking about it since her birthday last year. She had elaborate birthday plans and we did pretty well making it all come together. We had all her girl friends over that were in town, ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade because she loves all the girls and they spent the afternoon making melty beads and playing in the pool. They all ate pink/peach/purple unicorn cupcakes and had way too much fun playing. For her birthday dinner we had hamburgers and hotdogs from the grill. She got a horse shirt and riding pants from my parents, the shirt in purple and the pants are hot pink. Her horses will see her coming for sure. From Clint’s parents she got a nerf gun so now she can play with her brothers (although it didn’t really stop her before, she’s just now armed and ready). The morning of her actual birthday she opened a jewelry box full of earrings (cupcakes, unicorns, jewels, mermaids, all the things) and then after lunch she and I headed to the store for her to get her ears pierced. She was super brave and did a great job. She loves her sparkles but she’s all rough and tumble as well. She keeps us on our toes and is such a joy.
