Sometimes I get a crazy idea in my head. Actually I had this crazy idea last year but it took us awhile to get it pulled off. We have had mulch in our front berm and only a couple of plants. With the wind that we get the majority of the mulch that was once in our front berm is now in Kansas. And so we decided to change things up and change it all to rock. My mom helped make a plan for design and plants that would work in the area. We moved what mulch was still there to other berms around the yard and then brought in 60 tons of rock. Luckily we were thinking clearly and also got a bobcat to help move that 60 tons of rock. And it made a huge difference and we were actually able to move all the rock in a day. The next day we planted plants that are fairly wind and drought resistant in the dark rock area. Right now they are small but they will grow and slowly fill the area in. Everyone was a huge help and the boys all liked the big trucks that delivered the rocks and the bobcat.
