Again I’m behind as we started school back on August 14th…so yeah. And we’ve got a pretty good routine down now. This year Coppelia is 2nd grade and working through her reading but she says she likes math this year so we’ll take that as a win. Paxton is rocking 3rd grade and working on reading comprehension and all his addition and subtraction facts in anticipation of multiplication coming up. Edric is 5th and enjoying his last year of elementary school, for history and literature and and Caedmon are studying all the eastern countries and Africa and Australia which has been interesting so far. Caedmon started middle school and was really excited about science because it is all about the human body this year. And Leighton is in high school! In addition to the literature and history and geometry and apologetics he’s doing at home, he’s taking a personal finance class and a 2 hour art class at APEX. He is also taking classes through the Career Elevation and Technology Center, this semester he is in “Medical Assisting in Healthcare” and next semester he takes “Intro to Healthcare and Medical Termonology”. At the end of this year he will have his medical assisting certificate, and he is on the pathway to have his EMT finished by his senior year. It’s been a bit of a scheduling coordination as some weeks he has class M/W/F and other weeks it’s T/Th but we have found a good carpool friend nearby. Right now he is thinking he wants to be a flight nurse, possibly focus on Pediatrics. It is fun to watch each grow and develop into their unique gifts and personalities and shine.
