We took off last week to head to Salt Lake for Leighton’s Regional Gymnastics Meet and a chance to do a little exploring. We headed out pretty early in the morning and started the long drive. Everyone kept fairly good attitudes but the drive was long. Before we got to Salt Lake we turned off and went to Park City to visit the site of the Olympic Games in 2002. There was a little museum set up there that we explored and enjoyed before hopping back in the car for the last little bit to where we were staying. I think the kids would make a pretty good bobsled team although I’m not sure Paxton would be able to reach the peddles in the front of the sled if he was the driver. The kids all enjoyed holding the torch and seeing the medals. There were actually people practicing on the outdoor bobsled track but it was covered so we could hear them sled by but not actually see them. The driving days are never the fun days of the trip but at least they get us to where we are going.
