We needed a bit of a break last week from school and so we planned to go hiking Friday afternoon after we caught up a little on science and spelling. My parents joined us and we headed to Coyote Ridge Trail which is just about 20 minutes from our house. My parents had never done that trail so it was fun to explore it with them. We saw a number of deer and had a great time. There was a great ridge to climb and we could look out and see for quite a ways. On the way back down the kids and I raced down a number of the hills which made us all laugh, they beat me on a couple and I held my own on a few as well. My parents joined us for Friday night dinner of pancakes and bacon and then family game night which was great. It was a good afternoon and evening and seemed to get everyone back on a good track for school.
