We spent Friday pretending we were back in the Little House on The Prairie. We picked a ton of things from our garden early in the morning, everyone helped and Paxton used the peppers to show us how big his muscles are. Clint and the kids pickled the cucumbers and peppers, used the dehydrater on the green beans and some peppers, made zucchini bread and shredded more to use this winter to make more bread, froze more green beans, froze 60 ears of corn, and also baked some bread. I sewed about 40 masks for the ballet. We were all tired by the end of the day but it was lots of fun to see all our summers hard work paying off with lots of food for the future. We still have salsa to make but we’ve made a good dent in the first round of harvesting.
