A couple of weeks ago I had to put my doctor skills to work on the kitchen floor. We had gone for a walk after lunch around the block only we didn’t make it too far. Coppelia and Edric were riding their bikes up ahead of Clint and I, (the other boys were gone for the afternoon) and suddenly Edric rode his bike back to us to let us know that Coppelia fell on her bike. She was just a bit ahead and looked calm and was standing next to her bike so we weren’t too concerned but when we got up to her we found a decent amount of bleeding from a small cut on her ankle. Edric rode his bike back to the house to get some first aide supplies and Clint helped me move her off the rode and move her bike out of the rode and then ran back to get the car to drive her home. I keep a bag at home packed with all sorts of supplies, so once we got her home I got a good look at the cut and realized that she was going to need some stitches. She was super brave as I numbed her up and washed it all out. I ended up putting 3 stitches in and she did great the whole time. She was running around in just a matter of minutes all fixed up (of course the popsicles afterwards helped a bit). While it’s not something that most people can do on their bathroom floor I was thankful for the chance and ability to get her all fixed.
