On Friday we celebrated Edric turning 8! He and I made Rice Crispy treats for his birthday dessert. He was awake by 6AM ready to open presents and begin celebrating. He opened his gifts from us, this year he is in to all things pirate so he got a pirate ship (which he later helped put together) and a pirate costume. Awhile later he talked to Clint’s parents and opened their gift of a car hauler with some race cars which he was excited about. After we finished up school for the day we all headed to his rock climbing gym and spent the afternoon climbing together. He has gotten super strong and is climbing really well, everyone had a lot of fun climbing and did a great job. For his birthday dinner he requested chicken, coleslaw, and fruit salad. My parents joined us for dinner and after candles and dessert he opened their gift which were some Ranger Through Time books which are currently his favorite. It was a lot of fun to celebrate Edric on Friday as a family!
