Horseshoe Bend Hike

I’m still slowly working through blogging about our trip at the end of March. Since we weren’t able to go to the Grand Canyon with the pandemic and we were staying in Page, Arizona, we did the next best thing and hiked (really it was more of an easy walk) to Horseshoe Bend. We got there early one morning and there were only a couple of other people. The walk was an easy jaunt just under a mile. Horseshoe bend is technically the start of the Grand Canyon but the actual National Park is a good 90+ miles to the south. It was gorgeous but it also made this mommy very nervous. We got some photos and then at the areas not protected by guard rails and fence Clint and I would take one kid at a time up to the edge to look over. Still made me very nervous but everyone really enjoyed it and we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day!
