Last Thursday 5 of us got to go down to Denver and watch a mid day performance of Colorado Ballet’s Nutcracker. We got tickets through Caedmon’s dance company and had a great day. The 2 littles had preschool and then got to spend the afternoon with Honey and Grandpa so they had a great day as well. Our seats were pretty high up but we could see the whole stage from where we were at which was really great. The boys all had fun. Caedmon sat on my lap the entire time, “so he could see” and I know those years are slowly coming to a close to where he’ll sit on my lap. I told him one day maybe he’ll be the one of the stage and he said “yeah, I want that”. There were some differences between the Colorado Ballet and the version that Caedmon does, but I think all the boys still loved the mouse scene as their favorite. It was a chilly day but we headed to a sandwich place for lunch after the performance which everyone enjoyed. Caedmon, Leighton and I even checked out the big blue bear at the Convention Center while Clint and Edric were doing some quick Christmas shopping. It was a fun day and enjoyed by all.
