On Tuesday Paxton and Coppélia’s preschool class had a field trip to Miller Farms. The teacher said the whole family could join and come along so we made a day out of it. When Caedmon heard that we were going to go to a farm and get a pumpkin he insisted that Grandpa join us because “Grandpa picks out the best and biggest pumpkins”.
As part of the field trip we all hopped in the tractor wagon and headed out to the different fields. At each field we got to harvest our own veggies and add them to our bags. We had carrots, pumpkins, potatoes, onions, celery, broccoli, sweet corn, and brussel sprouts. I think there may have been more but those are the ones I remember.
After spending awhile picking veggies we had free time around the farm. There were a number of old cars and tractors and parts of airplanes that the kids could explore and climb in and around a few of them. There were tires and swings painted different colors a s well.
We packed a lunch and after lunch explored the little corn maze. As we were leaving there were a few more old cars, but they were all painted to look like the cars from the movie Cars, which all the kids loved.
We had a great day, sweet memories and a ton of fresh veggies on top of it!
