We finished our year of homeschooling on Friday. The boys have 1 more week of Apex and Coppelia has two more weeks of preschool but the homeschool part is finished. We will start some summer activity books on Monday but those should take about 10 minutes each day, just enough to keep everyone’s brain engaged and then of course jump into the summer reading program at the library. Caedmon and Edric both have a little math to catch up on because we switched curriculums 18 months ago and so we are a little behind grade levels for them. This year Caedmon and Leighton both had testing and did great, Caedmon tested right at grade level and Leighton tested 10th grade-college which is amazing. We have some camping and exploring planned for the summer and they will all do a little dance/gymnastics/rock climbing depending on what it is that they are in to, but otherwise hopefully lots of playing and fishing and enjoying time. We celebrated the end of homeschool Saturday evening with my parents, we cooked hotdogs and smores in the firepit outside and then played Tripoli on my grandma’s old board which was lots of fun. We are ready for the summer!
