While we were up at my aunt’s cabin with my family we got the opportunity to go and visit some friends at their family buffalo ranch. They are friends we met through Leighton’s preschool and Leighton and Katherine have already decided that they are going to get married. Leighton told me one day “I could marry Katherine, she loves Jesus”. In his mind nothing else matters and I hope it stays that way. They are a sweet family and it was so good to get to see them and their family ranch.
The Ranch is called Eagle’s Wing Ranch and from what Melanie told me they have between 400-500 head of buffalo. It was cold and windy the day we were there, so the little guys didn’t last very long outside watching the buffalo get fed, but they were impressive animals. After the dads took the kids inside to warm up Melanie took me and my parents down to the barn to see the BIG males. They were impressive. They also decided to pose for the camera a little.
We met the barn cat and chickens and just had a great time looking around at the beauty of everything in the middle of no where.
