Coppélia’s Family Day

Tuesday was Coppelia’s Family Day, 3 years ago my mom and I made the very long flight home via a crazy time in customs in Seattle and mad rush to our plane with Coppelia in my arms, home to her waiting big brothers. And we haven’t really stopped since. Because having 4 boys wasn’t quite…

Arizona Swimming…..

When we escaped last month we spent the majority of our time in northern Arizona just outside of Page. We had found a Airbnb home that was close to Lake Powell and had a small swimming pool and was pretty isolated. Initially we had planned on spending 3 nights there but as all things virus…

April Blizzard….

Last Wednesday evening it started snowing and it continued through most of Thursday. When we woke up Thursday AM we had over 12 inches and a few more were added as the day went on. We got out and sledded a bit Thursday afternoon but the majority of our fun came Friday after we finished…

Rest Stops….

Traveling with kids is an adventure. And our kids do pretty well. Rest stops are a huge help though. And we don’t typically rest at the rest stops….we run and jump and climb and do whatever is needed to get some much needed energy out. Our trip to Arizona was no different. At one stop…

Easter-Capes and Snow…..

Lava Falls, El Malpais National Monument Hike

New Beds….

Like many other people during this time we are getting some house projects done. The kids all said that they wanted desks for their rooms and we have been trying to figure out how to do that. While we were out of town I had mentioned to my parents the kid’s request for desks and…

Riconada Canyon Hike Petroglyph National Monument

So before the state closed we snuck out of town. Initially it was to go to Leighton’s regional gymnastics meet in Albuquerque but that got cancelled but we had planned an entire week long trip around that and then had plans to visit 7-8 National Parks. We debated cancelling the trip but at the insistence…

Quarantine Church….

Yeah so still figuring this all out….online church. This photos look great but they miss the part of me threatening quiet time to a certain little Miss who threw a fit because she couldn’t find her Bible….granted there were already a number of kids Bibles in the living room…but she wanted a different specific one….Or…

Quarantine Zoo……

Sunday our sweet neighborhood put together a zoo. People hid stuffed animals (with a few hunting targets and statues thrown in) around their front yards. The kids had fun hiding various animals around our yard. Then with the weather being so nice everyone went out and walked the 2 mile loop and counted the animals…
